DVLC is proud of its long established practice of drawing on volunteers, interns, and fellows to assist in providing legal services to victims of domestic violence. Without this assistance, many victims and their children would be unable to obtain the civil legal services they so desperately need.
Volunteers, interns, and fellows are vital to the functioning of our agency. Because DVLC staff is small, they must be responsible, detail-oriented, motivated individuals capable of working autonomously.
DVLC has opportunities for the following roles:
Emergency Order of Protection (“EOP”) Volunteer Project
DV Pro Bono Project
The Domestic Violence Pro Bono Project is a partnership between DVLC, the Office of the Chief Judge of Cook County, and twenty two area law firms and corporations. Participating firms and corporations take shifts during which an attorney is available onsite to provide legal representation. Please contact DVLC if your firm or corporate legal department is interested in participating.
For more information or if you are interested in volunteering with DVLC, contact Cheryl DeMichele Price at firstname.lastname@example.org.
